WRITING
Creative writing has taken many forms throughout my career. Starting in journalism, I’ve written stories about local floods and trash pick-up to gubernatorial races and state policy debates (and everything in between). In public relations, I’ve written press releases, op-eds, and numerous speeches. I’ve also had the opportunity to pursue feature writing.
While this quote lacks the acknowledgment of pronouns we’ve come to expect in the world today, I agree with the sentiment. Harper Lee once said, “I would advise anyone who aspires to a writing career that before developing his talent he would be wise to develop a thick hide.”
